New light entrepreneur — where should you start
Congratulations! You are taking an important step towards working with your own clients as a light entrepreneur.
Before you send your first invoice through Omapaja, make sure the following details are in order.
1. Register and complete strong identificationYou can register for Omapaja here:

Registration is completed securely using Finnish online banking credentials, a mobile certificate, or another strong identification method.
2. Tax cardYou need a valid tax card for salary payments.
Omapaja receives your tax information directly from MyTax, so you do not need to send us your tax card separately. However, please make sure that your tax details are up to date in MyTax.
3. Bank account number — IBANYour compensation is paid to a Finnish or SEPA-area bank account.
Please check that the IBAN number you have entered is correct and that your bank details also include the BIC code.
You can update your bank account details in Omapaja’s service under:
Menu → Business details
It is also very important to check the account holder details. Add your official name exactly as it appears on your bank account. The name must match your bank’s records due to updates introduced by banks.
4. If you are under 18If you are under 18 years old, you need your guardian’s consent to work as a light entrepreneur and accept assignments.
You also need strong identification, for example through a mobile certificate, and your own bank account for receiving your entrepreneur salary.
Once these details are in orderYou can send your first invoice easily through Omapaja’s system.
